I notice that bookies are only paying E-W 1st 3 places in a 24-runner race.

I thought anything over 16 runners you got first 4??

Any idea which were the 5 horses that died yesterday?

they were the 3 that died in the Amateur 4 miler

 

Only 2 horses have course and distance

Plenty of horses have course or distance value but only Kingscliffe and Lord of Illusion have won over this trip on this course.</p>

Its down as "also ran" on Sporting Life,

so I assume it ended up on the floor.

 

Must have been pretty late on as it was third about 3 or 4 out

 

Ah well.
