one of the reasons why don't fans sing any more

    when we stood up we had to get to the ground early in order to get a good view or our favourite post to lean on and in doing so we started to get the atmosphere going just to pass the time to kick off.</p>

    Now most don't take their seats until the players come out on to the pitch and you get people stood watching the bloody telly under the east stand until 10 past 3</p>

    all seater has to a great degree spoiled the atmophere at matches. thats why I wont go anymore

    The warm up singing has moved from the leaning on the post...

    ...to leaning on the bar. I know a fair few clubs where the pre-match singing happens in local pubs rather than in the ground.

    There's nowt better on an away day to be in a pub in a 'foreign' town packed with reds songs belting out the classics!
