Well 4 to be precise... Villa have scored 0 points since taking our 2 of our best players (and signed several other top players spending millions) We have scored 4.
But villa are having a mediocre season, whereas we are not. I cannot recall them being above us at any point so i'd say the two are incomparable.
just merely pointing out its not all doom and gloom. Bet the villa fans are even less happy than us! Personal thougths are Bruce has just bought the best players in the league and thrown them into the mix without really considering their strengths. For example - playing conor out wide? Hardly his strong point. Once he went into the midle he was much more effectove. You build a team around a player like conor - like we did. We just need to mould a new player into another conor.
I'm confident we will finish above Villa, oh and Birmingham City, Bristol City, Rotherham, Burton Albion and Wigan Athletic. And several others I can't be arsed to list.
Here's another small point. It's not May for another few months. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
If we can get our new team firing fairly quickly we have every chance of overtaking the Wednesdays and Derbys of this league. Of course they feel much superior to us so will laugh at the idea, but I don't think it is beyond us. Fans of clubs like that expect a top six finish by divine right. We should just be pleasantly surprised by how far we can go. I'm not seriously expecting a shot at promotion this season, but there is nothing wrong with hoping. Imagine an all Yorkshire Play Off line up - Leeds, Hudds, Wed and Us. The football world would be all over that!
Indeed. That would be ace. It is a long running bugbear of mine how poorly Yorkshire has been represented in the top flight over recent years. To have a guaranteed Yorkshire team in the Premier League next season would be fantastic. Clearly the outcome of such a play off would have to be, in order of preference: Barnsley Huddersfield Thermonuclear Armageddon Sheffield Wednesday Leeds united The last two being separated by a bit of extra money for Winnall if Wednesday go up
