    the majority of us won't have heard of them.

    Still don't think we have the crowds to support the purchase of "established Championship players".

    Unless we sell Howard that is.

    I think there are some clubs carrying big squads that will be ready to release players to trim the wage bill. Derby for example have made it know every one of their squad is available. Eddie Lewis and Andy Todd would be excellent signings, wages being the stumbling block I guess. As far as a striker is concerned, I agree, we aint going to compete with clubs chucking stupid money at the likes of Earnshaw, but there are players that will be available within a reasonable budget (up to £1m) that will be capable of making a big impact in the Championship. Maynard will leave Crewe and I expect him to be in the top 10 Championship goalscorers next season.

    The problem LCFC had this season was scoring goals

    Fryatt does not score enough to be worth getting.
    We have had enough strikers that dont score goals.

    Please please please don't buy Darren Moore, consistently and noticeably out of position and inept all season. How he was playing instead of Nyatanga I'll never know! (N)
