    The EU didn't give us peace......the absolute unconditional surrender of Germany in WW2,and the fact that Britain the USA and the other Nato countries stood as a deterrent to the Soviet Union(who probably felt they were deterring Nato too!)allied to the fact that both sides had the Nuclear kit to destroy the planet,preserved the peace in Europe...not the European Economic Community.

    Scorahs...good though they were had nothing to do with it IMO.

    Here we are again on our own in Europe with Germany the strongest European force - and the French just giving in. That sounds familiar ...mmmm.

    What are the defenses like in Normandy these days?....

    Having seen the state of the French and German armies, and given the fact we are pulling most of our battle hardened forces out of Afganistan, Libya etc. now may be the time:) Lebensraum and all that!!!

    Paris in a week and on to Berlin!! All over by...err.. Christmas??!!!
