Will Simon Davey's time in charge of Barnsley as manager go down in history & what will fans think of him in future.

What are good & bad points of his managerial career at BFC.

FA Cup Semi Final and beating Liverpool at Anfield and beating Chelsea to get there - not many Barnsley managers are going to top that to be honest, secondly in his first season the only achievement that could happen was to survive and he duly delivered - the 2nd season he survived because of the FA Cup exploits and well the rest is history - he should have gone at the end of last season however.

Hes certainly achieved much more than other recent managers we have had Spackman, Parkin, Hodges, Hart etc

He's also received more stick than managers such as Paul Hart who really didnt give a **** about this club too.

    you write that as if...

you'd just admitted that you had respect for for a nazi - like when that german politician said something along the lines of 'well they knew how to get the roads built didn't they' lol

In all seriousness though, I though one of the most accomplished performance I saw from a Simon Davey was away at Derby last season. We were very composed, passed the ball well, dominated the possession - but (probably quite fittingly) we came away with a goaless draw and very nearly let a header in at the back post in the last five minutes. It sort of summed up Davey really - that was the best we were ever going to get out of him!

I don't really know how to account for the games against Liverpool and Chelsea.

Overall i'll remember him as a manager who delivered us from relegation in his first season - against all the odds - but sadly too flawed to take us significantly any further forward than that. Ultimately he had to lose his job.
