now I am not saying we should sign more.... but do any think we will, and what position if so. Then its the loan window again, I would like to see Dudgeon stay a bit longer.

At the season start I was worried we didn't have enough strength in depth. I am far more confident now Hemmings is fit, Lita and Cole in have given us many options in attack. Mvoto along with Bree has given us defensive options and Abbott looking good plus Digby as options. I still fear for our left back position and centre mid. I think if we get dudgeon extended loan that would be great. I would like a hard tackling centre mid in case we need a battle.

Extending the loan of Dudgeon has to be the priority and I understand the club are already on the case with that. If that's the only bit of business we do then that's fine with me. From what I've seen of Abbott, Bree, McHale and Nana, I'm no longer worried about the young lads coming in if/when we have injuries or suspensions. They may not be up to a 46 game season yet, but I don't think they'll let us down when called upon.

Yesterday we were bossing the game, then Wilson decided to bring on Jennings, Cole and Hemmings. There isn't another team in the league with that kind of quality on the bench. It's a hell of a long time since we've had it.

That's not to say we shouldn't bring anyone else in. If a player becomes available that Wilson really rates at a price we can afford then great, I look forward to seeing them. But all too often in the past we've simply brought in players for the sake of it, just to make up the numbers. I hope we don't do that any more and to be honest I very much doubt we will.

Think we still need cover in full back positions, as we've only got Bree who I know is looking good but I don't fancy relying on him for a full season if Brown breaks his leg tomorrow. Would like to see another winger too, we've got Jennings and Treacy but no cover after that but I'm sure Wilson will sort us out.

If we get Dudgeon for the season we've got Brown with Bree as RB cover (and Cranie can play there), and Dudgeon with Smith as LB cover (and Nyatanga can play there). Plenty of cover for full back.

Personally I don't think we'll be bringing anyone else in this week, but we can make use of the loan market if we need to.

Jay, your comment about the strong subs bench is bang-on.
That is exactly what I thought when I heard team news........and to be fair, Wilson used them to good effect.

Lets be happy at this moment in time.......its been a long time since we could enthuse about our squad and performances, so take it while we can.

I've got it on pretty good authority that Hull might be asking too much for us to extend the loan of Dudgeon. That deal is going to be purely down to finance.

The only other word on the grapevine is that Big Jean wants some game time rather than being sat on the bench behind the two lads who are in form. Might end up with him moving out for a while to get some games.

Personally id still like a tall center forward, even if its just to sit on the bench for the the time-been with M'Voto, cos they'll be lots of games this season when we need em..if only for the last 20 mins, to win a game or see it out.

But we most watch the pennies so if it dunt happen fair enough. But again, if we are thinking of being in the top 5 all season we'll need different options in games

Cowgill is another that can provide cover and is the tall CB you mention.

I'm more than happy with Wilson's transfer dealings this window. Whether he does or doesn't bring anyone in, I'm happy it's Danny calling the shots.

There's an interview on player with Danny from after the Coventry game, he says he's trying to bring in someone before the window closes. And when asked if this player was a winger, he said not necessarily. Which says to me he's still after a target man, or hopefully a full back. A right sided full back is still a must for me, not over convinced with Brown in that position, I still think he'd be better at centre half. I'm convinced the side we have will be more than good enough to mount a challenge this year, it's strength in depth which worries me.

Personally, I think that we could use a big strong centre-back to play beside Crainie. Many will say that Mvoto is that man, but the last time I saw him, he still looked to be a mistake waiting to happen. Reece Brown might be that man, and that would suit me perfectly because I do not think that he is a right back. I know that he made two goals yesterday, but in my view, he is often the full stop in our attacking team play. I have not seen McHale and I thought that Berry had a decent game yesterday, but I think that our balance would be improved by a genuine wide right player. That player could be Jennings or even Cole, but if not, this is the other position that I would like to see strengthened.

I agree 100% about Dudgeon. I'd love to get him and Cole for the whole season, with no recall clause.

No think we are capable of giving anyone in this league a game with current squad. I belive in if it;s working well leave it alone:)
