One of my happiest memories as a Barnsley supporter in recent times. What a sad state of affairs we're in a year later. I was absolutely fine (if a little sorry to see a club legend sacked) when Danny went last year as I was sick of travelling to places to see us try and bore out a draw and lose. But the thing is we were losing to the likes of MK Dons, Preston, Swindon. In this 6 game losing sequence (not just 6 away games, 6 games lost one after the other) we've lost to Crewe, Fleetwood, Southend, Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Walsall. The only club with even half of our budget, crowds and pedigree there is Rovers, and even they were 23rd when we lost to them. It's extremely sad to see a club of our stature go down in these games without a whimper, and the players, manager and board all need to take a long hard look at themselves for letting us sink so low. I've already got my ticket for Coventry on Tuesday and doubtless so have a couple of hundred others. The club doesn't deserve our support at the moment but we just keep going back to be let down again and again in the hope that we might get to savour more moments like the one posted above.
