    Hi folks.

Has anyone used the online check in while traveling abroad with BMI? I have to check-in 72 hours before departure, but it doesn't really tell me the info that I am required to give. Also do I need to check in for the outward and inbound flights?

    Thanks

    You reds

Never used BMI's but used lots of others

They tend to be all the same though BMIBabys seems a bit wierd

Unless you are only going for a short trip you cant usually checkin for the return at the same time - only the outbound leg

You will need to do the return later whilst you are away

Usually all you need is your name and a booking reference - possibly the credit card you booked with though BMI seem to need also need your APIS details which is unusual- which I assume is the Advance Passanger Information System details

    This is usually
    # Full name (last name, first name, middle name if applicable)
    # Gender
    # Date of Birth
    # Nationality
    # Country of residence
    # Travel document type (normally passport)
    # Travel document number (expiry date and country of issue for passport)
    # Address for first nigt

Also it seems you cant use it if you have hold baggage to take

did it this summer.... pretty straight forward

Check in was easy, all they wanted to know was D.O.B., passport number etc....... next step i.e. seat selection, is randomly allocated unless you pay an extra fee. We risked it both ways and fortunately got two seats together goin out, but we were split up on the return leg.

Also but miffed that was charged £20 for using a credit card when booking, cheap airlines!!! Grrrr

Even if you can check-in on line beware that with BMI baby there may not be a plane there for you to fly on.

they are CRAP, we have flown all over the world with different airlines, went to spain with them this year, NEVER again, cheap they aint with all the add-ons, old aircraft, poor service, and all this quick check in is a joke...

dont touch them with a bargepole, or even a free flight to an al quaida holiday camp!!!!!!!!!!

Usually they are OK EMA to Amsterdam but when they mess up it is spectacular. We had to deal with a stranded child ( OK 17 but still a child ) at Skipol, his flight was cancelled then not knowing for hourswhen or where they could get him on a flight. V. annoying.

Ok thanks for the response's! Ive already booked it so fingers crossed the plane will be there! lol I just couldn't figure out what I needed for the online check-in, and whether I have to check in for the return journey as well?

Also I had another name on the BBS (pat sharp junior) but cant log into this. I dont post often, normally just read other posts, so could it have been deleated because I have not used it recently?
    Thanks
