Drivers just don't give a ***k, Mrs just ordered £40 of toys for my best mates lads birthday. Safe place noted on order, instructions to also leave with neighbours, no can't be ar**d just leave them in front garden and take a picture, the smaller of the presents gone when she's got home. It surely can't be that difficult to leave in the dedicated safe place or with a neighbour can it.
It can't but they don't give a flying. If I get an Evri delivery that is scheduled after 7pm, I know that the usual courier will send a message through Evri that states that there has been "a problem with the address". However, there's never a problem with the address when he delivers it the following day.
There are good and bad from all the couriers to be fair. We had an Evri courier during the pandemic who was amazing. Sadly for whatever reason he gave up his patch about a year ago and the current guy is far from ideal. Comes down to attitude at the end of the day.
I couldn't agree more. The local Evri courier we had for years was brilliant, no problems whatsoever. Since she packed in, the new one couldn't give a monkeys. On the last delivery by them, despite me putting a note on the front door asking him to deliver to the side door, he walked past the front and side door (through which he could see someone was home as the light was on) without knocking on either, to put the parcels in the blue paper recycling bin and then posted a "sorry you were out" card through the front door!
Not had a problem with our present evri courier always delivers with a smile and we sometimes have a bit of banter with them.
At least it was left in your garden. My wife ordered some clothing and she got an email saying it was delivered and left behind the gate in the back garden with a photo clearly showing it wasn't our gate (this was solid wooden and ours is wrought iron). She contacted Evri and they said the tracker showed the van was at our postcode therefore it was our garden gate. My wife said that there are multiple houses which the postcode covers but they wouldn't have it. This went on for 24 hours and they said that they weren't liable as they had delivered it to the correct address and my wife had to take it up with the company who supplied it.The next day I took the photo of the gate and went up and down the street until I found the gate which looked like the photo, knocked on the door and the owner opened their gate to find the parcel behind it! Fantastic service not only from the driver but Evri who not only didn't want to know but 'proved' they had delivered it correctly!
