Danny Wilson. Hassell, Perkins and Dawson in midfield, sorry but no. Dawson is nowhere near good enough, Perkins was awful.
How did either of them stay on longer than Hassell is bewildering.
Scotland, waste of a shirt. Kennedy will never be good enough.
A must win game for me thrown away by team selection.

I spoke with Luke Steele on Tuesday and he said that Nyatanga could hardly walk on Sunday! So that is why Kennedy played, but I thought he did ok to be honest. Not a lot wrong with his his game at all.
Paddy not fit enough for a full match and Tommy the Pole never plays well enough when he starts a game. Dawson played Ok , I am more worried that Perkins has started the 2 games under Wilson. Scotland has a good scoring record , so I cannot see why he should not have played either.

Scotland is past it, never looked like being in the game, as for Kennedy did you actually see his 2nd half hacking display.
Dawson was absolutely awful. Play Perkins at left back if need be, anyone but Kennedy.

Really why? And is Wilson above any blame?

Well flicker is responsible for the players Danny has to pick from. And of course Wilson isn't above any blame. But gives the guy a chance and had we taken our chances first half what he tried may we'll have worked. Wish he had used the subs better though should have put Tompole and pedersson on much earlier

And while we're at it, why does O'grady spend more time on the wings than any other player. PLay wide men, get balls into the box, and make sure your fecking strikers are in their to score.

I agree, he made the right changes at the wrong time! Apparently we had the most shots on target today, most of which were in the first half. He's right by saying had one of those shots gone in, we would have been up against a completely different side and may have even got another. With them sitting so deep in the second half, we could't get to any crosses (not that we often do) and our long balls weren't working. The only way through was in the form of Paddy, who had 3 men on him.

It's not all doom and gloom, I don't think we deserved to lose today and he's only been in the job 9 days!

Dawson did alright today - looked to actually get forward in the first half which is more than Perkins did. Didn't just resort to smacking it up to CoG. Wouldn't have been so bad if we'd have had a proper attacking midfielder on instead of Perkins (Cywka, McCourt, Etuhu perhaps...) or even subbed him off at half time.
Between them Hassell (who wasn't better than Dawson btw) Dawson and Perkins were never going to let us create much. Perkins was out of his usual position on the left and it showed - very poor game. One of him and Dawson at a time I'm afraid, and opn today it would have to be Dawson

WE did deserve to lose though, that 2nd half was abysmal. They had a good 5 minutes early 2nd half and knew we were there for the taking. So they went at our full backs and, bang, eventually it was going to be good.

Like you, I thought both Kennedy and Dawson had decent games. They're not the best players in the world as we all know, but they gave as good as they've got today. It's Perkins I'm worried about. I think he's past it. His game was all about being busy, getting about the pitch. He just about run himself in to the ground last season and I think it's caught up with him. He can't do it any more.

If we're going to improve, we'll have to replace all three of them in the long run, but it seems to me the first to be replaced should be Perkins.

Dawson was up for worse man of the match. Terrible first touch, can't tackle, went missing in action along with the rest of the midfield in that second half. Complete waste of a shirt, should have started with Tomas.

Only on here! only the managers second team selection (after the first was generally regarded as a success) we have no real idea of the depth of the injury situation (on top of 2 key suspensions) and the moaning has started already! Give me strength!

I'd say this is about right. Dawson was in the team by default and we know his limitations and I think the same can be said of Kennedy. Perkins remains a first pick and his form is terrible with a hint of not having the speed of legs or thought anymore.

    Blaming Danny, seriously?

If players aren't fully fit and for me Mellis who is the player who makes us tick suspended. What else can we pick from?

Whilst I agree that Wilson got it wrong, and a midfield trio of Dawson, Perkins and Hassell was suicide, I personally thought Dawson had a good game. Perkins was poor, Hassell was average, but I suppose that's the minimum we ever see Hassell play at.

I agree about Kennedy but I was under the impression Nyatanga was injured so I can't see a suitable alternative other than Hassell or Wiseman at left back, because from what I've seen of Perkins at left back, i think id rather have Kennedy.

Whilst Scotland had a poor game, I can't agree he's a waste of shirt. I was hoping he'd get a start sooner rather than later, but of anything yesterday proved to me that he's probably a useful player to bring off the bench. Thought that even though he was poor, he was in the game twice as much as O'Grady, who didn't move more than 3 yards for a ball all afternoon.

Bloody hell - give him a chance. He hasn't had the opportunity to fully appreciate how **** these players really are.
