Surprised it was that many.

 

I said we needed 10 -12 plus 5 loans at the end of last season to be competitive and still don't think I was far wrong. About half way there I'd say.

 

Borderline negligence.

I'm sure the usual crowd will say everything is fine though.

 

lets face it our season is gonna start , yet again, in September.

Such is life tho. We still are playing 11 vs 11 and not 22/15 vs 11.

Things could be better - I agree. Pointless bringing in players who don't improve the team tho.

Fingers crossed we bring in another 5-6 by the end of the window.

Yes - summert on those lines.
But then it gets complicated if you throw into the mix that a few of the current squad are not Championship standard e.g.:
Bradshaw?
Jackson?
Payne?
Is Hammill even good enough?

But if you mention that we need another 3 strikers to add to options of just Ugbo.
Or that we need another 3 fast winger types to add to options of just Isgrove.
And people on here start saying that's unreasonable.
It's not - if we are to be competitive.

If a squad of 22 plus academy players isn't big enough something. Is wrong

 

I'd say Bradshaw and Hammill are good squad players certainly good enough to compete for a place. Jackson depends how good you need a 4th choice CB to be. Payne I have no idea as I haven't seen enough of him not sure Hecky fancies him though

 

I dont think anyone will say everything is fine (with the exception of maybe tyro.n.e)

I'm 100% sure that noone at the club thinks this is fine either.

1 or 2 in tomorrow, maybe sneak a win Saturday (or not, it's only 1 game out of 46) then we should have time to bring some more in.

I'm still as optimistic as I can be, for better or worse.

 

Completely agree we're looking light at full back, wide and up front, we might find someone like Wardle or Brown starts knocking on the door yet, we just don't know. But its obvious they are trying to get players in, sadly there are other clubs all doing the same and it wont have gone unnoticed what we've been doing with young and hungry players and those clubs following the same path, but just having more resource and money to throw at it.

If we get to the end of August still light, then i'll be concerned, but if we can try and be solid for the next few weeks til then, we might find ourselves quietly pleased with how the window has panned out. Who can tell.

 

Oh, I'm concerned. I just dont see what complaining on here gets you. I'll stay concerned yet optimistic until the end of August (or when we intercept the bid for Neymar and bring him in), then I'll reevaluate
