Thats ****!</p> <font size="2">Away fans are housed in one corner of the ground in between the South & West Stands, where up to 2,900 supporters (if demand requires it) can be accommodated, in the lower and upper tiers. If you have a ticket for the upper tier then prepare yourself for quite a climb to reach the away area. You are though rewarded with a great view of the action from this section and the leg room is ample. The facilities in this newish stand are above average. On the downside there is little space between the away and home fans. As you would expect there is plenty of banter between the two, but the stewards tend to take a tougher line on the away support. On my last visit a number of fans were ejected from the ground, plus there were repeated warnings to away fans to remain seated. One strange aspect of sitting in the upper tier is having the Police Control Box directly above you, where a number of uniformed faces can be seen peering down on the away fans. The delicious <font face="Verdana">'Football's Famous Chicken Balti Pie' </font><font face="Verdana">(£2.20) is available inside the ground. I have always quite enjoyed my trips to Tottenham. White Hart Lane is excellent and the atmosphere generally good, however it is wise to exercise caution around the ground and you may consider keeping colours covered.</font></font></p>
That can be increased Thats just for Prem games - the FA cup guarantees more - doubt we would need many more than that anyway - if we need any at all
RE: They gave us the home end in 1997/98 for some reason nt That was because of building work, that end was only half open no upper tier.
RE: They gave us the home end in 1997/98 for some reason nt They gave us different areas of the ground for the league and cup games. For the league game (I use 'game' in the loosest sense of the word as we didn't turn up in the first half) in December we were in the corner, for the Cup game we were at the opposite end of the ground behind the goal (as previously stated due to building work). My most vivid memory of the cup game was that I kept getting torn between watching the game directly or viewing it on the jumbotron screen as the action moved to the 'far end'. Really bizarre experience (I think it was the first time I'd been to a game where they showed live action in this way).
Big clubs try to play the safety ticket though dont they, but remember Newcastle away in the cup, reds in 3 separate aereas of the side, must have been a nightmare to police
Good draw for you lads, assuming you win the replay. Just a kind word of warning for any barnsley fans thinking of travelling on official coaches with walking difficuilties. Whilst you get dropped off right outside the ground, afterwards the coaches are parked about a mile away, which for me at the time was the longest (and hardest walk) Id had in 13 years. There was another guy with walking difficuilties who found the journey even more difficuilt. Good luck in the replay anway.
