Joe Cole's goal a fluke.

    Laughing at Owen's injury.

    Rooney's a "tw@t."

    Cole's a "show pony."

    FFS.

No chance of winning the cup because we "scraped" through the group with 2 wins and a draw.

did you hear Radio 5 this morning? Interviewing people at a service station - one guy was really down on England's chances, even though before the tournament started he thought we'd win it, and when it was mentioned that we'd topped the group said "Yeah, but look at the uvver teams, not very good are they?".

    its unbelievable innit

we were excellent yesterday in first half - lets build on that.

we still have to improve - i think a lot of peoples comments are borne out of frustration.

i think hargreaves has got to start in the next game with gerrard or lamps in front , probably gerrard

Thought Hargreaves was excellent last night. Gerrard needs to be given licence to roam forward like he does for Liverpool.

Why does Sven play him as a defensive midfirlder? - all the world knows that is not where he excels

I despair with Sven and can't wait to see the back of him altho it'll probably be worse with McClaren in charge

Thats the first time he's been played in his proper position for years. Kept the ball moving and defended well. Even Brazil and Argentina have a player doing that job.

    Agree.

Sven simply does not know how to get the best out of his players even now he doesn't know where their best positions are.

How he justifies his £4.5 M salary I have no idea

What exactly does he do, does anyone know?

    hiddink was the man.

sven has got to realise that we need someone in that role in front of the defence that is gerrard , surely he'll do it against equador - is there an award for the most shots on goal without scoring , the limp boot or summats , cos i think frank lampard is in line for that award.

i think that went a long way towards earning him £4.5m a year.

having said that we were excellent in the first half - play like that and we will get to the semis at least

    Poor old Frankie.

I reckon he'll find the net when we need it most.

Either he can't get his head over the ball. Or we're playing with a beach ball.

I keep backing him for first scorer...I'm not going to against Ecuador so he's guranteed to notch.

I'm going to lump on him for 1st G'scorer

    against Ecuador

Also fancy a little £10 on Ferdinand, scoring from a corner at 40/1

BBC reckon Ferdinand could be out of the Ecuador game.

Cupboard is looking a little bare at the back now.

Everybody seems to be having trouble keeping it down.

I wonder how long all the sides have had to practice with the new ball.

    RE: Poor old Frankie.

Gerard was worse in our Paraquay match. Three shots that would have looked good at Odsall. Lampard's were all on target. Gerard scored last night with a header after a great cross by Cole. Beckham would have just aimed for Crouch!
