And it sounded like we dominated. They went up the other end once, our defence evaporated and they scored. Same old over. From a personal point of view I find it very difficult to understand how Jim McNulty could keep his place in the team after the two errors on Saturday. The first resulting in one of the misses of the season, the second a goal. I don't know how you can keep picking a player who gifts the opposition goal scoring opportunities on such a regular basis. And if I were playing three at the back, like we did today, the first player on my team sheet would be Bobby Hassell. He's got all the same attributes of Gary Flemming and Matty Appleby who excelled in that position. Stick Bobby between Cranie and Foster and I think the system Flitcroft played today could work. Admittedly, we wouldn't score any more goals which is a big problem, but maybe we wouldn't dominate games and lose a goal at the opponents first opportunity. I wasn't there though, so I could be writing utter *****. Come to think of it I'd probably be writing utter ***** even if I'd gone.
McNulty played well today, in fact so did all the back 3. But again one mistake punished. But I agree - Foster and Hassell made for that system.
Saw the team, saw the formation on here and then watched SSN waiting for the "Peterborough 1" bit, l think l would have topped myself at the thought of Parker's commentary voice on Radio Pig so l gave it a wide berth.
Tha what? Mcnumpty was pulled all over first half, looked dodgy as fook and played far too many side wards daft passes across his own 18 harder. Looked good second half cos we were camped in their half for forty mins and didn't have to do owt.
No one stood out as a weak link today. Stones, Dagnell, Dawson and especially JOB were immense. Can't believe we lost
Agree Owen, Parker is bloody awful. He is all doom and gloom. If we scored ten goals you would not get a reaction. I turn off when he commentates
