It all depends. In this area, Kirklees, you can fly a flag as long as the top of the flagpole is no higher than the top of the roof. However each local authority have different rules and regulations.
well Jaffa, what do you mean, is he stupid for doing it,or the council for making him take them don i dont think its stupid,i think it is sad, thta some one should report him
i think it is sad that there making him take it down.. you see man utd flags everywhere and same with liverpool flags but because its derby n there not as big as the other teams hes got to take it down
No, I think if someone had a Man Utd or Liverpool flag in that area they would also make him take it down. It's a shame, but I suppose when they have controls on advertising it's a case of where do you draw the line. Same with football shirts in pubs, they do that because it can provoke trouble, and you then have to also ban the local team as otherwise it just creates grey areas.
and whatever happened to..............an english mans home is his castle??????????? i bet if it was an ethnic minority there wouldnt be a fuss........
And what has that got to do with anything? Bloody hell, some people can't wait to get a snidey little comment in, even when its nowt to do with owt. Its almost as if they are irrationally paranoid...
does that mean there going to be banning radio stickers in the back of cars as well? also other things like that because if so someone needs to get there head sorted out because it is utterly stupid
It's referring to a massive flag flying from the roof of his house! Slightly different to a small sticker on a car. http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/d...me=yes&more_nodeId1=124522&contentPK=18082652
true but who here hasnt flown a flag out of there window or on there roof e.g when we went to cardiff/wembley... it might end up coming to car stickers next
