Barnsley Football Club can now confirm its initial Fans Of The Future plans for forthcoming matches. Young fans aged under ten on August 1st 2005 will be able to gain free admission to the following first team games at Oakwell: Reds v Walsall Saturday October 29, 2005, KO 3.00pm Reds v Colchester United Saturday February 25, 2006, KO 3.00pm Reds v Southend United Monday May 17, 2006, KO 3.00pm Youngsters will be able to watch all three matches free of charge when accompanied by a full paying adult. Proof of age may be required. More soon.
Applause all round But I read somewhere that the Football league had been trying to organise all 72 clubs into doing something like this. Still, can't be knocked imho.
Yay! They're doing summat. About time. Good on 'em though, it's a good initiative. But something also needs doing for the rest of the games, so that any young fans that this venture attracts can afford to attend on a regular basis when they get the Barnsley bug. Or, more pertinently, their parents can afford to bring them. £31 for an adult and child ticket in the family area for category A games is way, way too much.

so what about my cousins youngun hes 5 years old and allready into his 3rd season and his 2nd season ticket so having paid for these matches will the club give him his money back??

RE: Full paying adult Do you think this means that season ticket holders can take a young un for free or does it have to be a full paying adult on the day.
