    I still can't get my head around why Alnwick did what he did. There was no flashpoint, no challenge, nothing at all to provoke him and get such a reaction. It was surreal.

    Rochdale were attacking and the ball went into the box but Alnwick just seemed to collect the ball (bog standard pick up so just take the goalkick and we win the game) then their player who was in the box went chest to shoulder with him but still no malice or incident. Then out of the blue Alnwick dropped the nut on him. It was a soft as **** headbutt that you'd laugh at if someone did it outside a pub but the lad made a meal of it and the ref had no choice. There was just no incident at all to provoke it.
