Therefore, the law of averages states that about 85% of the people who buy a 50/50 draw ticket are season ticket holders. Why would season ticket holders enter a raffle for a prize that they already own? Sure, they could give away the season ticket to a mate, but who buys a ticket for a prize draw when they don't want the prize and know they would be giving it away? I reckon, if you changed the prize on the 50/50 draw from a cash sum to a season ticket, you'd lose about 85% of your custom. Give or take.
