Rant alert! Mixed bag for me.. Barnsley Football Club has so much more potential than what was on offer today. I took the wife and bairn and to be honest we made the most of it and had fun for an hour, selfie with Toby, enjoying a great pizza, hook a duck etc. But underneath I was disappointed in the Club's "bread and butter" stuff. The club shop looks absolutely and utterly derelict compared to how I've always remembered it on Open Days - as in both merch and customers. A handful of hoodies, t shirts and... socks? It was totally bare. I asked if they had any babies' kits in - First delivery 7th August... Farcical that they had no home shirts of any kind today of all days. Add to that, no fixture wall charts yet either. They missed an open goal today i think. Thankfully like i said, it was a fun hour in the carpark, even though it was one of the barest in terms of stalls and activities i can remember.

I don't like to complain about BFC, but i know we can be a lot more on the ball with stuff like this.

It's really bad. Surely we can get a better quality of home friendly too. Hibs today have took 2500 to Blackpool. Aberdeen have nearly filled the Jimmy Seed stand for a nine hour 500+ mile trip to a third division side. We get friendlies against the same old sides we've played loads of the years.

Have to agree the shop looks sparse and not much variety on offer.

We seem to play the same boring teams ever pre season!
