    Yeah, of course.

It can't be the owner and the manager, just taking some time out of their lives to answer questions and interact with the supporters, can it?

Why do some people just love to pull down the club, and those responsible for the club? It really does beat me.

Good on em' I say. I hope Simon gets the team together and gets them playing some cracking football this season, and proves all those doubters wrong.

Should be a laugh if we've signed know-one.

If that is the case then i expect an announcement on the lines of 'Barnsley Football Club have had to cancel tonight's Open Meeting as were at a busy stage with the season just about to begin, this will be arranged for another date'.

Wouldn't be the first time (or the second) that meetings with davey have been cancelled when the going has got a bit tough. Of course there's always been a legitimate reason...

Fans call for Davey to be more open.

Fans moan when Davey schedules a no holds barred meeting. Its not limited to certain fans like normal. It has no agenda set. Its an open forum and a step in the right direction for Davey to explain things from his point of view.

FFS - He has his faults but he cant do right for doing wrong.

    It will be called off!

Fear of catching Swine Flu and spreading it to the players will be the reason.

    You heard it here first.............

Fair play to Patrick again, he needs the fans on Simons side not at his throat like 90% of people on here. Like it or lump it Patricks got faith in him and youve got to admire his loyalty.

    RE: If my memory's right

Didn't he have a similar engagement at Darfield Cricket Club near the end of last season then cancelled it after we got thumped at home by Swansea making up some lame excuse about preparing the players for forthcoming games?

Why don't you just **** off and support another team? I'm sick to death of all this negativity, if you don't like him, don't go. Like a broken record.

Come on SuperTyke - Give them a chance , please.
Well, I am sorry, but I just cannot believe what I have just read on this thread. I ought to believe it , seeing as I have been following these pages for as long as the Board's been in existence.
What the hell is up with you SuperTyke and more to the point, the majority of the posters on here?
Get a life for gawds sake

Our Club is very important in all our lives. that goes without question.
    We all asupport the team
We love the club and will stick up for the club no matter what
    This is our Club.
Simon Davey is in charge whether we like it or not and whether we support him or not.
    We have to be realistic.
We do not have huge amounts of money, yet we, that means all of us, Cryne and Davey too, want to be able to compete in this League.
    Stop and think.
It's all in hand. I do truly believe that.
We have not the money nor the charismatic 'come on' that other clubs have, like Sheff Utd- "we were in the play offs", or Sheff Weds - -'Big Club' syndrome - Leeds 'Once in Champions League '
When peoiple ask me where I am from, I now say "Yorkshire"
    Why?
Because I am sick to the ultimate back teeth of people responsding to me saying I come from Barnsley with :
"Ah baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarnsley" and they then put on a **** eyed look, incline their head 45 degreess and repeat again "baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarnsley"
I eye contact them and then say
    "What's your point?"
    That usually works
I'm a lass from Barnsley and I am proud of it!!
    What's the problem?
Pit heads and no teeth that's the media stereotype when they choose to portray us.
Anyway, have a happy Thursday all
