If on the internet a girl dresses provocatively and in 'sexy' clothing with lots of makeup on in a clear attempt to look sexually attractive to members of the opposite sex and is subsequently contacted by a man who asks the girl her age and she replies that she is 17 and 18 in 5 months with the man replying that she looks so much older. And the two of them have conversations with NO sexual conversation taking place and NO requests for sexual images or actions but a lot of conversation about how the girl wants to become a singer and the man, an artist (music), whilst sat in a music studio asks the girls to face time him (ie go on webcam to him) is it fair and just that the man is branded a pervert when it transpired that the girl has lied about her age and is 14 and is upset that he talked to such a young girl?
The mans motives are highly questionable talking to such a girl on the internet irrespective of the girl lying about her age. Is he a pervert? Open to opinion but he has only himself to blame if people brand him as one
Kind of agree with Dr Zaz here. Why on earth did he contact her in the first place? Even if she was 18 it's still a creepy and annoying thing to do and then when she said she was 17 he should have left it at that (depending on his age). Not saying that he is a pervert but it could definitely be perceived as grooming, whether that is correct or not no-one but he can know.
I just think it is a sad world where adult males are completely banned from talking to anyone under the age of 18 and any conversation regardless of what it is can be percieved as grooming
It's not a male thing, a female should be aware of how it looks too. (It does seem to be men that send unsolicited messages more often though, although that could be because I only got messages from males, being a female myself).
Depends on his own age to a large extent I would say, in order to determine whether the whole scenario is innocent and regular enough. Plus a few dozen other questions need to be answered that would put the whole thing fully in context. e.g. does he want to sing with her or shag her?
He is 26 I believe and as I said, was in a recording studio at the time with other people wanting to hear her sing
I'd have thought a person of your persuasion would get more messages from women. #butchlesbian #runningaway
I am quite the butch lesbian you are correct! It's interesting to note though that as I have got older and embarked upon a career whereby posting pictures in provocative clothing is not a good idea, I don't get any messages from lovely innocent folk who are just wanting a chat anymore. I guess my no make up, sensibly clothed me doesn't look 'friendly' enough.
Fishing for compliments again JD? You'll get none from me dude! ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hadn't head this story so had to google it. Knowing who the person and the circus he is involved with along with the pointless celebrity culture, this situation is not that surprising. His girlfriend has just turned 18 and has been knocking on 35 since she was 16 - surgery, photo shoots etc etc, and this "musician" has been surrounded by this, he probably thinks it's normal for 17/18 year olds to be this "mature". He also looks like he is in a permanent state of confusion. However, regardless of owt else, if a 14 year old lass hadn't claimed to be 17 going on 18 this wouldn't be happening.
No (not this time ), I'm just pointing out that these lovely friendly fellas only seem to want to get to know teenage girls in 'sexy' clothing with a face full of make up.
A reply straight to the heart of the matter Mr O this forum would be a sadder place without your input !!!!!!!!
