I'll take that for now. Hull didn't offer too much going forward and I'd be interested to see how we fare against big strong physical(dirty) sides, but the team looked just that last night ...a TEAM. Made a nice change. A few individuals stood out, noticeably Robbie Williams, but most got about their respective jobs and worked very hard, considering it was a pre season friendly. Feel a tad more positive than I did.
So do I was pleasantly surprised by Mr McPhail. If he cuts out the wsted free kicks and silly square balls and continues to be more invloved and more direct and shoot more often...he'll do for me
all set up ready to be knocked back down again at the weekend! ff hope not though! How did the dee fence look fella?
RE: all set up ready to be knocked back down again at the weekend! Hard to say cos Hull didn't offer much. imho we are better down the flanks this year, but defending set pieces and centre forwards with pace will be the acid test. If we just face kick and rush teams we'll be alright.
