    1. Very good performance by the lads today. Entertaining football played in the right way - pass and move.
    2. To be absolutely fair, even McEveley and O'Brien played well today - best games for club. Is Hill playing clever mind games to motivate them?
    3. Only a point, but that's incidental. On another day Perkins' effort would have gone in off the woodwork and Captain Butts would have smashed that close-range effort in.
    4. Drinkwater looks class - a bit like Danny Murphy - good all-round midfielder, the like of which we have been missing.
    5. Park is clearly not as good as his brother. But then if he was, Sir Alex would have snapped him up as well.
    6. One of the most entertaining parts of this afternoon was Keith Hill's impression of Captain Von Trapp.
    7. The crowd did not support the 'price-drop' brigade, of whom I'm a member, and The Don will revel in our season-long lower crowd strategy proving him right via the balance sheet. Dangerous logic!

    Now then.

Two tough away games await. Brum and Shackell's Derby - both going well. It's conceivable we may not get points from those games. In that case it's win Coventry to beat Orsen's 1st October points forecast or draw and it will have been spot on!

But in a way, that doesn't matter. There aren't many outstanding teams at this early stage and our place in the embryonic league table is not a cause for concern. There are promising signs from Hill's outfit, who today began to replicate some of that pre-season form in the crucible of the Championship.

Well done, Captain Von Trapp - you are well on the way to proving me wrong!

i agree with most of the above Mr K. However a cause for concern is 4 home games and no wins...... no team ever stopped up without winning a few at home.
