    yeah when you see him run it does seem as though he takes significantly longer strides for one thing

    The precedent it would have set as other athletes started having their legs amputated so they could fit prosthetic limbs!


    But as you say - can't see what else the IOC could do, perhaps supply the others with drugs?

    I's seems very ironic to consider that such an athelete could have an advantage over others, but it would be true and you cannot, in the spirit of such events, allow disabled people using prosthetics to compete in the same category. Depending on where science goes next, who knows where it will lead?
