JOS being a bit cryptic on twitter posting an icon of an eye, does he mean there's something to watch out for involving him. Are we spending some of the Holgate money on him???

Great player, but I can't see us signing him simply bacuase we don't really need any wingers.

LJ seems to not use wingers, and we've got a lot of midfielders otherwise, so unfortunately I doubt we'd go for him.

    Hope we do though!

I hope so but... He wouldn't fit in the team unless Rothwell/Crowley or Hourihane are going

Well, if anybody can convince him it'll be the thousand fans that seem to reply to his every tweet saying 'sign for Barnsley', 'come back to Barnsley', etc..

O'Sullivan is far too good for League 1.

May be a slight over enthusiastic about his ability but I thoroughly believe he could be a decent Premier League player in the future. Saying that, he will need to take a step down to take a step back up as he seems out of the picture at Blackburn.

I can see him being developed as a striker. He's got the attributes - pace, work rate. End product is key though; given games and confidence he would achieve that.

That's where Blackburn had been playing him. Put him there and we could have Williams, Winnall, Crowley, Scowen and O'Sullivan in the same team :O I'm sure he would do well in CM or the number 10 role. You could say his defensive game isn't good enough for CM but then neither is Hourihane's.

Think our lack of striker signings is because we are wanting Sullivan

He was magnificent when moved centrally against PNE.

Exactly mate - sounds like an exciting proposition! He would fit into our 'philosophy'. I think he endeared himself to us all because he worked so hard for the team. Don't get me wrong that should be a given but he had the quality to look a cut above the rest. Really hope we get him.

Would we take O'Sullivan ahead of a striker signing such as Smith? I reckon he could be developed into a number 10. How many teams actually play with 2 up top these days anyway? JOS playing off SSW could be a great partnership.

Our original transfer budget should cover the Smith signing. The Holgate money would more than cover any O'sullivan purchase

Imagine how good this team would be! With a bench of Winnall, Hourihane, Watkins, wilkinson, Rothwell, Crowley and Townsend!

Yep, it looks strong but I'd still be concerned about the full back positions.
If we were to add JOS, Smith and the Yiadom lad from Barnet before the window closes I'd be happy...(ish) :)

I do agree the wingback areas are weak, but if you had O'Sullivan and Williams in a formation like that they could help out when defending the oppositions fullback and wingers over lapping! As it stands I think we're only weak because our wingbacks are being outnumbered and doubled up on by the oppositions fullback and winger playing Williams and O'Sullivan would help compensate for that
