Pulls out of Welsh Open. I know his mental health is the reason but when are World Snooker going to step in? Unfair on his opponents, fans and the event organisers and sponsors.

Not sure there's much they can do, Mr D. His problems are well-established, so problematic to treat him harshly in the light of that!

Anyone's mental health can escalate in the blink of an eye. Can be fine today then triggered tomorrow. Not much the authorities can do on this. It's down to the individual to call it.

I don't want them to treat him harshly. They need to definitely try and work with him and his schedule though.

I'm not surprised, have you ever been to Llandudno?

Allow him to pick and choose his events so that is doesn't effect his other activities and exhibitions. That way he wouldn't have to pull out of events last minute.

I must admit, I don't know how the snooker circuit works and which tournaments players are expected to compete in.

But even if they did as you suggested, Ronnie could still have chosen this event in which to participate, and found that, when the time came around, he wasn't in a mental state that allowed him to do so.

His opponent gets an easier opponent.

Someone else gets a chance to play that otherwise wouldn't.

Ronnie gets to look after himself.

    Everyone is a winner.
