Need to get to Birmingham by train early one day next week and will be stopping in Barnsley
Anyone know if you can leave your car at Meadowhall Train station over night and if so how safe is it?

My mate has done this a few times (though admittedly last year). He's never had a problem with safety.

know nothing about parking at Meadowhall Station but the first train from Barnsley to Meadowhall departs Barnsley at 5.23 a.m. and then about every 20 minutes.

It’s meant to be monitored and you aren’t supposed to do it. Not sure how closely it’s monitored though.

Meadowhall park and ride is 24h so overnight is ok, I've done it for work travel. Meadowhall retail and shopping centre are not 24h and are monitored, tickets are issued.

Meadowhall park and ride gets full by ~7:30-7:45 (in school term time), not sure if that's the same out of term, trains in general are quieter.

    Seems Centertainment is also 24h.

There's ~300 spaces, you turn right at the first set lights after you've come off the roundabout and the car park is just on the left as the road takes a sharp right.
