It's bloody ****. Had to buy some specs as I can't wear my contact lenses. Need to be able to see saturday so had to spend 50 quid on some glasses I will probably wear a few times. Things you do for football eh?

    also to be fair

I am short sighted so I need glasses to see distances pal. Much I would like it to be so nothing within my house is over 25 metres away unlike players, the ball and shitty United fans are going to be on saturday. Thanks for your concern like.

    To be fairer

Contact lenses should not be worn constantly - you need an up to date pair of specs to wear and give your corneas a rest. . 'pink eye' could be the least of your worries from over wearing contact lenses.

I don't think he'd label himself as such.

But if I had a problem with my eyes, I'd value his opinion over my own

Didn't realise you don't have a sense of humour. You've set me straight though, and I'll know in future.

    Don't bother Dirk.

the opinion of an optician obviously carries no weight when it comes to eye care.

    I'm not bothered

I just hope his own optician advises him the same.

Even hard/gp lens wearers need to rest their eyes regularly. He'll get blood vessels growing into his cornea - there aren't any symptoms at all, until its time to stop wearing lenses all together because of corneal oedema.
