That was painful to watch. Devoid of ideas and movement, passing went acros the line and back rather than forward. No one taking on a man, no movment once Done had gone off. Better in the seond half movement wise, but chasing the game we were hot ont he break. Burnley were confident, had good movement and first time passing. What we should have been doing. Not many come out of that one without black marks, but Edwards did ok defensively, Wiseman tried getting forward and O'Brien put in a shift for the time he was on.
I haven't been tonight but had a conversation with my brother who did go - for 95% of matches, Andy Gray upfront on his own will not work. He barely makes a run or moves. Said Davies was unlucky to hit the bar which could have changed things? Did say the goals we conceded were terrible. Still, we beat them 2-0 at our place and thoroughly outplayed them. It happens. Too much panic after a loss and too much hysteria after a win on here. (not saying its you that panics by the way!)
Actually should have mentioned Davies as a bright point (as much as you can call it that) he was certainly our only threat. Gray was pretty much like a statue.
What happened when he hit the bar? Should he have scored? Gray plays well 1 in 5. Thats my honest opinion of him, but its not enough to be playing him when our goal threat is stuck out on the wing, and I hope it's Cotterill and O'Brien on the wings on Saturday with Davies through the middle.
