Right from the start of the season, I have seen Oulare as crucial to the way that we want to play. We want to get the ball forward quickly, but with only 3 subs, the tactic of hitting the long balls into the spaces out wide and pressing to win the ball back in the opponents half was doomed to fail. The alternative is to hit long balls to a tall target man and letting him link play. That option is also out when Oulare cannot play. In my view that is the main problem with the team, the main reason why we are not scoring. I am overjoyed by the news that Oulare is almost fit, because at last I see light at the end of the tunnel.
I mean... I'm pleased he might get some minutes under his belt, but I'm completely perplexed as to how he's suddenly available when only weeks ago he wasn't available for the foreseeable future.
Iseka 6 foot Woodrow 6 foot Morris 6 foot 2 Oulare 6 foot 4 Cole 6 foot 1 So we are not exactly a small set of lads as it stands. So unless he can combine the physical presence of Adeboyejo/Dike and also hit the net regularly..... And stay fit..... Just saying let's just see how it pans out, and let's not pin our ever diminishing hopes on the lads shoulders...
Lol, sorry. I can see it now. On he comes, the first ball to him and it flies off his shin into the crowd. We do seem to be able to employ a hell of a lot of players over the last few years that can't control a ball... Amazing really when they are professional players like
Imagine the disappointment when we find we have bought another Odejayi/Adeboyejo when we thought we were getting a poor man’s Lukaku? I’m as excited as the next fan to be finally seeing Obbi in a red shirt but I’ll try to contain that for a game or two. Course, when he comes on at 65 minutes on Wednesday night and bangs in two quick goals to win us the match, well…….
I dont even trust the club to have him on the bench for genuine reasons. I think its a sop. As mentioned before, how come he's suddenly available for the bench when he was out long term? Doesn't scan.
Schopp will be running out of excuses when Oulare and Styles are back and we still get beat. We haven’t got a chance against Boro tomorrow.
Is he any good as a target man? Can he control the ball well enough to bring in others? For all we know, he's got a touch like Sutcliffe.
