Provided a great opportunity for Fleetwood to score every time. Why did we persist on putting our 2 centre halves in the box and leave Wabara to generally fall about and panic on his own in one-to-ones? The fact is that statistically corners rarely produce goals - Barca just use them to get the ball back into play, pumping aimless balls to their keeper to start a quick counter attack is just asking for trouble.
I felt sorry for Abbott yesterday, really wanted him to do well, but the weakest area for us was central midfield with him and Hourihane, he of the pull-out challenge, just not providing any cover or spark going forward. Williams should drop into central midfield and play the new lad Fletcher with Winnall in a 2 upfront. Best game Ive seen from Isgrove, he was the MotM and for once I agree, easily the best player with White a close second.

Because they're our only players capable of out jumping the opposition centre halves. We have a very small team so it would be stupid to leave one of our centre halves back

Over the last couple of seasons we've scored plenty from corners. Along with free kicks they are the main reason Hourihane gets so many assists. Indeed yesterday we hit the bar with one and had another cleared off the line.

We do need to watch we don't get hit on the counter though. Too many of our corners were easy to claim for their keeper.

Agree regarding Abbot though, although I don't think a midfield two of Williams and Hourihane would provide any more cover. We need another central midfielder, simple as that.

We seemed to score and create a few when we did the edge of the area huddle. Now we seem to aim for the 6yarder and a lot are easily plucked out of the air by the keeper. Not creative enough for me when we have such good deadball players

Agreed. No idea why hammil has started taking them. Would be far better Hourihane taking them and having Hammill on the edge of the box or drawing a couple of players out towards the corner taker by going near

Let play; Aim for there keepers hands and let them start a counter - without being challenged

Happened at least 3 times yesterday

If the tactics are to land the ball close to the keeper under the crossbar then at least have someone on the keeper.

We have hardly looked like scoring from a corner since Hammill arrived. No idea why he's started taking most set peices.
