Time after time they are just playing it around us and the only surprise is that it is 2-2. We took our goals brilliantly but that's about all we have done in their box. They are quicker and slicker, both on and off the ball. We look as though we haven't a clue how to get it off them and our running with the ball is poor. I predict a 4-3. Just hope we get the four
Hm, I almost had the score right. If our ONLY shot of the second half, near the end, had gone past the keeper instead of straight at him...... I must admit I didn't expect us to be turned over so easily today but we were. The first half was a walkover 2-2 - by that I mean they were so far ahead of us that the goals should have reflected it. The second half was such a let down because nothing changed. No motivation out in the middle, no apparent determination to get back to 3-3. It should have been seven or eight to them, it really should. On paper this looked like one of our best chances to get three points this season. How wrong I was! Outplayed, out fought, out thought ALL over the pitch. I will write a longer report tomorrow but two points for now that were hugely in their favour: 1 They had an ex-England international running midfield. We had a hot-head from Wycombe Wanderers. 2 They had a nasty, obnoxious battering ram at centre forward who always scores against us. We had...........erm, nothing like that.
