Our get out of jail card...

...we just played it. That was nothing short of daylight robbery. But teams who show the resilience to grind out undeserved points get promoted, so I'll take the three points and move on yo Stevenage.

 

You say robbery but they were gifted 3-4 gilt edged chances and only scored with one of them. If I was a Carlisle fan I’d be saying we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Only themselves to blame no robbery at all.

 

I like that description; I am happy to ride this rollercoaster even though the lows are awful.

 

I must be on my own, or totally miss read the game but I thought we were alright tonight. For once.

Granted we didn’t have pop shots from all angles, but a few occasions their defenders made last ditch attempts to stop easy tap ins. Especially two from Cole, one in the first half (incredible defending) and another in the second.

 

If Cole and Pound Shop Haaland had swapped teams we would have lost about 6-1.

 

That first half was awful, especially the first 15 minutes. Worst I've seen from us by a mile this season. Improved in the second half but still lacklustre imo mate.

 

Armstrong was best player on the pitch for them. He did run out of steam towards the end though, which showed with his striker challenge booking.
