Me and the big fella bumped into some of this lot at cardiff in the play off final a few years back, and i can honestly say they are the most vile bunch we have ever met. I used to go out with a girl from sheffield not so long ago, and she said the same thing about barnsley and its populus. Be carefull up there.'

    They sold a few it sounds like but only to get points for away games, many not bothering to come up ha

    To be fair most Barnsley fans that day were too blotto to cause any bother beforehand and too delirious afterwards.

    Miserable tw@ts, f.cking stop away then, just cos they can't take penalties.

    pissing myself at this.....

    Centre of Barnsley after the match can be a bit intimidating. I remember waiting at the train level crossing in the town centre after a game there where we won .There were hundreds of Barnsley fans joining us by the second as we all waited for the gates to lift .I was with the Mrs and couldn't hear a Welsh accent anywhere needless to say we kept our heads down. Been a couple of times and never seen any trouble but heard the odd shout of abuse .The area and general populace though give the impression that the potential is not far from the surface.

    a couple of points:

    1. hundreds of barnsley fans joining you by the second....er the barriers were down you tit !!
    2. no welsh accents....... you were in Barnsley you tit !!

    i did call him this morning at 9am and we did chat for a few mins and said he thought it was just fun and a bit of banter as rivals..i pointed out it wasnt and made him look a dick!!
