Much talk on here about the departures, and how we take it for ward. But if we doubled the wages we pay they would still be half of what even the middle ranking teams in the Championship are paying. So where we are now is as good as it gets, I suspect.
It would appear so, but don't lose hope. Huddersfield lost a lot of good players last year and defied all expectations. They had an exceptional manager, some good young players and some inspired loans. There's no reason we can't live in hope either. We've already got the exceptional manager bit and hopefully the good young players section sorted.

Other people have argued that we should expect to be competing at this level by virtue of the fact that this is where we've spent so much time here, but things have changed so much in all those years. Money happened and polarised clubs. You only have to look at the division we left to go into the premier league. Most of those clubs have gone in different directions. We're somewhere in the middle.
