    ...as do most managers because they're always being asked to speak to somebody or other, it gets recorded and then analysed, and often is contradictory of previous utterings or just plain tosh.

    In Flicker's case if we only spotlight the No.1 position according to him:

    In the last 2 or 3 months we've had Steele too old at 28, who could easily be replaced by Alnwick who is more than good enough, followed by a signed up Steele being one of the best Championship keepers, until he needs dropping and can't be replaced by Alnwick because he provides no competition, followed by importing his 41 year old best man, who let 5 in and had a great game.

    If he goes from Nos. 2 to 11 in the same manner, it'll be entertaining off the pitch and excruciating on it.

    But it'll still be a load of crap
