I wouldn’t feel too smug about that - there’s still a serious risk we could be playing them next season.
Rather that than swapping places with them. After their billy big ******** last season, I’m going to unapologetically revel in them being stuck mid table.
They love the " we are big club" nonsense but on their board they're so estatic about beating Donny who are near them in the table! Think we r having a better time of it again this season as it sounds like their football is dire to watch. Sunderland till I die is out in Feb. Shall enjoy watching us going up the table instead of down like last time!
Well no, neither did I, not really. They seemed too busy imploding to play any serious football. There was a brief spell near the end though, where them and Pompey were above us and could have gone up if they'd kept their heads.
Sunderland are 5/1 to be promoted, which places them 9th in the betting. However, they are still only 5 points off the playoffs, so I wouldn’t rule out a rally after the transfer window. Sadly, we are still 4/9 favourites to be relegated, so a League One clash next season looks the most likely outcome.
Hope they stay down there for a few more years, their fans were the worst last year. They’ll still think they have the right to be in the premier league and beating teams in that division 19-0 every week because they once got 40 thousand on Boxing Day. Or their fans will still be putting all the blame on Charlie Wyke and Jack Ross. Really don’t like that club anymore from some of their fans behaviour and arrogance last season.
I don’t agree. Was at both games last year and had a good laugh with their fans. The knobs on their forum are not representative.
