and it was a yard inside the area.

Didnt/couldnt see their player get his shirt tugged but sending off very harsh but once he gave it i guess he had to go - but there is no consistency in this rule!

    At least a yard.

He run out of the area to point to the position where they give the freekick from. I was in the East Stand Upper right at the end and it was miles in.

I couldnt see the pen very well as it was down the other end. But he hit the deck when Steele had it in his hands. I look for players reactions in these situations and if you were one on one and hauled down you'd kick up a right fuss, but no-one appealed, not even him.

I sit at the far end of the East Stand Lower.
The pitch markings had all but been washed away by the rain before the match.
From where the linesman was standing I don't think the remains of the line denoting the penalty box could be seen.

Their pen was an absolute joke - none of the players expected it and certainly none of the crowd. The ref was the only one, a very strange decision. The handball was definitely inside the box; the ref consulted the linesman, clearly giving him the chance to say it was inside the box but the spineless t**t chickened out. Very poor. It's always a shame when the ref's decisions have such a big impact on the outcome of the game and sadly that's happening far more often...

-- the penalty we should have had -- yes it was definitely in the box but there were no pitch markings to show the edge of the penalty box.

From a height, yes the pitch markins could be seen. From Linesman's perspective at ground level they couldn't be seen.
