Following on from Redrum's post about the squad having a collective value of £9,900,000, how would we break that down and would that suggest the figures are out of kelter with our thoughts, or is about right. I'll put mine up in a minute, using Potts as a benchmark at £1,500,000

Would imagine it would be more than the 10m or so that the site quotes.

Woodrow, Moore, Mowatt, Pinnock and Lindsay are all "worth" more than Potts imo.

All in millions, value this transfer window and probably reflect contract length and who would sell to (champ/league 1/Scotland/france etc:
    Moore £2.0
Woodrow £1.75 (will rise-not played enough)
    Pinnock £1.75
    Mowatt £1.0
    Mcgeeghan £0.5
    Thiam £0.75
    Cavare £0.5
    Davies £0.5
    Fryers £0.25
    Moncur £0.25
    Jackson £0.25
    Lyndsay £0.5
    Dougal £0.75
    Pinnilos £0.25
Bahre £0.5 (he is in our current squad)
    Hedges £0.25
    Isgrove Free
    Brown £0.25
    Ben Williams £0.2
    Adeboyejo £0.25
    All others free
    Total; £12.25

Bit of fun, unless selling to championship clubs/upper end scottish or foreign clubs, it will be difficult to break the £500,000 barrier

Didn’t we reject just under 2m for Thiam last week?

I had heard we'd rejected a bid, but I really can't see the same board that sold Potts not selling Thiam for such a sum. I had reckoned if we were to sell him it would be to mid ranking french top tier club. I think they are a bit like scotland, apart from PSG and Monaco and a couple of others not that flush, could be wrong though.......it has been known LOL

I’d rather concentrate on who we might sign than a league table of players we could sell!

That wasnt really my point, a bit of fun as to what they would be worth. If anything, it reinforces the point that we should get to a higher league first as the players' values do not rise until they can be sold to higher tier clubs who will look to pay more for players with proven experience in that league

Potts was a release clause in his contract apparently but I haven't seen this confirmed officially by anyone at the club. Giddings tweeted the story about thiam so reliable source a French club and a top 6 championship club apparently bidder for him.

I suppose that would fit in with the rumour that he didnt want to re-sign after relegation, I also suppose his move here was for championship football, hence he re-signed with a release clause. Not a lot we could do if so, only difference with new owners is release clause is three times for a (marginal ) Champ midfielder than for a proven championship striker. Incidentally, I looked for some comparable stats and found Thiam has scored in four games and arguably has helped us win 12 points. Potts has scored in five games and arguably helped us win 15 points. Thiam scores a goal every 277 minutes, Potts every 262 minutes (but has 3 times the assists). He also seems a bit more consistently involved in games, assuming the board are in fact just working off stats, either Potts was a bad deal or Thiam a good deal if the rumour was true. The king of the goals per minute is Adeboyejo, goal every 118 minutes, Moore one every 150. Personally thought he was worth a run when Kieffer was injured
