For me, both strikers no matter who plays all too often get dragged out wide.

I think we'd be a lot more productive if they stayed more central and let the midfield do their jobs!

Fair enough sometimes they need to assist and make space but the accomplished striker should be playing facing goal waiting for the service. Just watch someone like Drogba for example.

Watch drogba and see how he pulls wide to create space for the midfielders, lampard especially.

More than often in the box when the ball comes in though!

    I agree

Our strikers end up crossing - which means inevitably there is only one striker in the box on the end of the ball in. Or worse - the striker fails to get the ball in at all because he takes too long looking for options that aren't there.

Yes, 2 wingers and play the strikers more central.

D/T - - Check this link out. Where is Drogba positioned for most of his goals? Yep centrally, hardly ever on the wing, here's nearly 8 minutes of goals to back up my point.

The word you have used there is GOALS. He creates the space by pulling the defenders out of position allowing the midfield to creat the chance. He is one of the most hard working players in the premiership.

Yes but he's not doing that stuck out on the wing when the ball is needing to be put in the box. Can't think how many times this season balls have been put into the box and nobody has been there to get on the end of them.

If only we had a player of the likes of Ward, Hendrie, Fjortoft, Shipperley, Hignett, Payton or Dyer

They all knew where the chuffin net was.... and they weren't afraid to shoot.... what is wrong with our strikers these days GRRRR their only Boggy looking owt like...

Ward was never gifted with pace, and Hendrie lost his toward the end but they used their experience to beat their markers... and made sure they hit the bloomin target!!!

A tell this what... get Andy Liddell signed up on a free until the end of the season... bet he'd still have more of an impact than these boys put together
