I was reading about other local clubs having their big days out.

Barnsley population (borough): 218,000
Wembley v Ipswich 2000 - over 35,000 Barnsley supporters
Cardiff v Swansea 2006 - 25,000 Barnsley supporters
Wembley v Cardiff 2008 - over 34,000 Barnsley supporters

Rotherham population: 254,000
Wembley 1996 - 20,000 Rotherham fans
Wembley 2010 - 15,000 Rotherham fans

Doncaster population: 297,000
Cardiff 2007 - Just under 19,000 Donny fans
Wembley 2008 - Just under 25,000 Donny fans

 

Looks comparable when you look at the competition - can only really use the Swansea game to compare as that was L1.

 

We would have took over 30k had our League 1 play off been at Wembley.

 

Are they rough figures Gord I always thought we sold just over 33,000 for Wembley first time round and around 21/22,000 for the game at Cardiff.

Always remember empty seats up the back at the old Wembley and the last info given out by club was around 33,000.

Maybe the club had to purchase all the tickets they asked for who knows.
