Out of curiosity, who would people have given MOTM to yesterday?

I've seen the decision to award it to Foster get criticised - and I admit he was nowhere near his best.

I've seen Anderson criticised, but to me, he was the only person in our team capable of keeping the ball but due to the fact that both our wingers had shockers, he had nobody to give it to and resorted to ambitious passes that weren't finding their targets. Coupled by the fact that Butterfield did little to no defending.

So who would people actually have given it to? Personally I wouldn't have announced one but if I had to, despite the fact he wasn't good, I'd have struggled to pick out anyone that played better than Foster.

A few are saying they thought he was the worst player but for me, he was the only one who didn't disappear and actually wanted to play the ball on the floor. Don't think he did much wrong at all really.

    Macken for me

    Followed by Andersson then Fossie

I know others disagree but I thought given the service he had Macken held the ball up well - didnt waste many passes and got nothing from the ref

The only player who looked like he might create a goal.

    Yeah, completely agree.

Macken played well yesterday. Didn't have much service, but did well with what he had.

    he did okay

with what he was given, but he's too slow and not predatory enough to score us the goals that we need. Its going to be a tough season but he was certainly one of the few players who could hold his head up in terms of workrate and did as much as he could with what he was given.

Anderson... closely followed by Macken, and Hume

I also thought Anderson did ok, he was the only one who looked interested throughout........ Macken looked good in th first half and Hume worked tirelessly when he came on.

Worst performance for me was Kozzy, closely followed by JCR....... others such as did ok for first 30mins then fizzled out and very very poor in the second.

I'm hoping Potter will play LB on Tuesday and take his chance, also would like to see Devaney, Hallfredson and Thompson get a run out.......

    Foster

As someone else said though, it was a process of elimination

    Macken or Anderson

both played OK. 7 out of 10.

    The rest were dreadful.

One of the worst performances I have seen for a good while.

Major improvements needed from both the players and tactically.

Not good enough to stay up with performances like that. WTF was Steele doing with his wall for the goal? A number of players looked to be out of their depth. Hopefully its just a one off.

    Martin Devaney

No way would i give it to Anderson, yesterdays performance summed him up for me, all the skill in the world but does not move the ball quick enough and not creating any chances for our strikers and that has been the case since we signed him. IMHO thats way our strikers have poor goal ratios we need to be a bit more decisive from midfield.
