Never wanted SO'D, so today's been a good day for PASTA. Billy Davies, Paul Ince, Terry Butcher for me.......in that order of preference.
That makes 2 of us then, I did wonder who voted for Butcher, I would change your vote now though, as being seen to agree with me is not a good thing of late !
I was not too disappointed when he turned us down......to be fair BMW whoever gets it will get my 100% support.....unless it is Blackwell!!!! some people on here make me wonder how loyal they are, some are laughing at our own club and will only appear happy if we go bust( secret deedahs I think)
I voted for big Terry before once his name came up and voted for him again in the new poll. Can't see him being interested though. Just think its odds on we go down and whoever gets the job gets that on their CV. Live in hope though
I mean, it may turn out to be a disaster (his stint at Brentford didn't exactly cover him in glory). His fabulous spell in charge of ICT may just be a case of the right man clicking at the right club - how much did Allan Clarke or Norman Hunter ever achieve anywhere other than at Oakwell? But I think that we are at the stage now where we need to take a punt on someone and hope it comes off. Paul Ince would be another one who I'd not be too disheartened with.
I thought he was decent option, Undecided on who I really want. I am with Mr C, G Neville with D Watson as assistant. No chance I know.
Are you joking? Apparently the wage cap at ICT is £800 a week! Assuming that runs to the manager as well, he's probably earning less than a lot of the posters on here. Even if we assume that BFC pay a huge amount less than most Championship clubs, £150,000 a year is not an unfeasible sum to pay the manager. Massive difference.
Haven't a clue who the manager should be If it were to be O'Driscoll then fine. Now that it isn't that's fine too. I'm secretly hoping it's a foreigner, someone that no one has ever heard of who turns out to be a genius.
Re: Haven't a clue who the manager should be Yes, but I'd prefer it if he didn't have motor neurone disease. Is that politically incorrect?
Sorry buy I've just spat single malt all over the screen and am rolling around in stitches at the mere thought of Arsene Hawking delivering his pre-match tactical talk to a goggle-eyed McNumpty.
Re: Haven't a clue who the manager should be Not really. Just a bit pre-judgemental. Having a serious degenerative medical condition shouldn't necessarily stop anyone from being a good football manager. I think more people with serious degenerative medical conditions should be given a chance in top-level football management. We don't see enough of them in the modern game. Michael J Fox for BFC manager. With Stevie Wonder as his assistant (ticks a lot of PC boxes, being a blind ethnic minority)
When did Hunter ever make it as a Manager. Inherited Clarkes team, got shut of Mc Carthy and all together made a complete balls of it
