out of interest from those who are driving..?

how many driving lessons did you have until you put in for your test..?

ok bud, its just i had a target of bout 20, but just wondered how people got on on here.

 

According to the government 45 is the average. I had about 20, from having no previous experience. Didn't pass first time though but had only a couple of lessons for 2nd test as I started driving my brothers car. I am sure there is a good spread of amounts.

 

About 80 but first one had a nervous breakdown, he had me driving in and out of the goal posts on the local field from what I can remember.

 

If your learning from scratch and don't have access to a car between lessons, I'd say you'll need about 30 or so. With a few top up ones between tests. Word of warning though. My step-son passed at the 7th attempt and he had took to driving like a duck to water (now passed his advanced test in the police). Once you've failed a few the pressure builds, especially if money is an issue. And boy, can they find some creative reasons for failing you! Young lads are more likely to be failed than young lasses - FACT (as people say on here). Don't think the examiners take to young lads who look too confident.

Think I had approx 25

passed test first time, just as well as I couldn't have afforded many more lessons at the time

 

8 including a 1hr before and the 1hr for the test but i was driving from 15

 

Twenty odd

I would say. Plus driving with my dad.

 

26 HOURS Until me test

but can't remember how many I had prior to booking the test. Passed 1st time.
Ur driving instructor will tell u when to book it, oh mine did anyway (Baz )
