Out passed and out fought. Largely imho due to the coach's team selection. I say coach because he isn't a manager. He's woefully out of his depth.

I thought one of the main reasons Davey got the job was his thorough preparation ? The only thing we were prepared to do on Saturday was let Colchester walk through our midfield. If only we'd a player like Sam Togwell to put in the middle instead of League 2's finest.

What has Kay done to upset him by the way ? Nice to see Hayes, one of the teams most creative players sat in the Welcome Stand ( or whatever it's called), cos we obviously don't need him at the moment. And if we can stick Howard out wide for the remainder of the season that should ensure that particular avenue of flair is shut off.

It's all going so well. Glad we've improved things so much since sacking Ritchie.

Owen. You can't pillock everyone tha knows.

    No excuse for that

And none for cheering when Mattis' number went up to be subbed.

But by the same token, that was 90 minutes of pure ***** served up by Davey. Birmingham, Derby, Sunderland all to come to oakwell. Not a cat in hell's chance.

    Manager picks the team

agreed that he got it wrong, with hindsight, but defensive errors on all 3 goals, not all by midfield players (Mattis shouldve cleared for the 1st), we need an experienced centre half or we'll continue to leak goals. team spirit seems to have disappeared, but is there any wonder when the crowd are heckling from the start? the Barnsley public love a good moan, they got a performance and result to really get stuck into.

    Fair comments

I think the team selection was reaaly poor. Mattis hasnt even appeared from the bench since preston so how come he got straight back in at the expense of Togwell? Why play Howard on the left - he looked a bit fed up towards the end.

Mattis and Mccann in the 2 most crucial positions - how many other championship midfields would take either of those.

Now we have Kay clearly causing further unrest.

If we dont pick our best team each week we have no chance. If we dont all pull together we have no chance

Saturday was a huge own goal. Doubt we can recover

People booed out of sheer frustration

People near us who are normally quite quiet booed mattis off. Just sheer frustration and because they care. Dont agree with it bit do understand it.

my opinion for what it's worth - they are profesisonal footballers getting paid a lot of money by most peoples standards and they should have it within them to block out mindless morons, raise their game and perform.

that performance was absolutely abysmal . i think the booing was a culmination of things - Ritchie was sacked for allegedly not bringing in players to improve the team, , however the team seems weaker than it was under Ritchie, coupled with this the team spirit has evaporated.

    RE: Manager picks the team

Thing is, they came through us like a dose of salts. You'll get individual errors in any game - Hassell for the last goal for example, but let's be fair, this season he's consistently been our best defender.

The midfield pairing of Howard and Togwell should be left alone unless you're going to improve it. Dwayne Mattis cannot tackle. He has no positional sense at this level. - He may need time - we don't have that. McCann cannot turn with the ball. he cannot make a forward pass.

A blind man on a galloping horse can see that you need your best players in your best positions considering our league position - dropping Togwell and sticking Howard on the wing constitutes gross misconduct imho. Davey has to go.

I doubt we can recover either, I mean we are a whole 1 point from safety and only 14 matches to play, its all over!! Do you ever think about what your saying?

    Sense of perspective

16 games left and all to play for. there's a section of the crowd and some that come on here that seem to get a kick out of getting on the teams back. We all have opinions, thats what footballs about, and for the record I'd have Kay instead of Atkinson every time, and Togwell and Howard in the middle, but such vociferous booing and moaning so soon into can only have a negative effect. Maybe Davey is paying the price for replacing a popular manager, but how many weeks, months and years are we going to harp on about what a great bloke Andy Ritchie was and how fantastic it was seeing us play attractive football but get beaten? Move on for christ sakes, constructive criticism yes, but crying over a past manager is pointless.

I dont agree with tinkering for the sake of it

maybe Togwell needed a rest, maybe Mattis has looked sharp in training, managers make decisions on selection for a reason, he'll know just as much as we know that it didnt work on Saturday, his post match press conference said as much. But alls not lost, we have options and its about picking the right one, not having to pick the only one. We desperately need an experienced head at the back to avoid another repeat of Saturday, cos its going to be a roller coaster towards the end of the season, more twists and turns, we we're elated after beating QPR, now we're down, but no fat lady singing yet.

14 games and many more performances like that and it's over.

I can't see how he can turn it round. I pray he does, but he's upset the balance of the team and not improved it so far.

Liked the look of that no.9 mind. better than that fcking idiot in the 13 shirt that just ran about all aft.

I'm sure it was T Wright.

Number Nine looked decent. Actually won the ball and laid it off.

    My Hartog style prediction:

I think the idiot in the 13 shirt (the half Baaarnsli / half Chinese lad ... Roy Chee) will be the better of the two Hungarians.
He looked lost coming deep for the ball with Richards further forward - but when big Istvan came on & he went 20 yards further up field, onto the shoulder of the last man, he looked pretty handy.

    Istvan's wage breakdown:

Weekly salary - therteh six pence
Goal bonus - bowl of potatoes
Ball-boy bonus - a jar of paprika for every time he fetches the ball

    The lad looked very keen.

My record in predicting striker success :

As good as my choice of Lovingstone's lovelies.

Then again, I'm outside of the game.

I'll tell you what worried me ...

... even Marc "I'll prove you wrong" Richards looked to have no interest.

I'd like to see us with 3 at the back.
This would then allow us to play the "dream team" of McCann, Williams & Mattis in the middle of the park.

    Totally clueless.
He can stick his dossiers right up his harris.
