I would imagine by the morning with a game tonight, a few will be picking them up tonight. Waiting for the bottom tier anyway so hopefully they will be on sale by the end of the week.

 

If a win tonight puts us in the play off i'd expect 4k to be broke in the next three days.

 

That's a bloody good effort to say lots will be waiting on tonight's result before definitely getting a ticket.

 

Shame it's an early KO. I expect that will put off a few hundred who'd have otherwise fancied it.

Quick edit: I've seen their reasoning behind it, the game a few year ago they had to get 500 merry folk out of the Globe and Howard and escort them up. These pubs don't open until 11/11.45am so that's blown that, it could have been world war three that day.

Don't stop them drinking in pubs opening early in Barnsley though and jumping on the train.

 

I also see the view from SYP, the early kick off significantly reduces the hassle of the police escort etc. But from our point of view it's a great day out ruined! Obviously the match itself is still a major attraction but I know a good ten or more mates who have been put off by not being able to go ahead with plans. I think a win tonight would put another 500 on the gate, hopefully we'll break 3,500. Can't see anymore than that.

We took around 3,000 to Donny and Chesterfield, our other local trips. We'll take a similar amount to the sty.

About a third of our home support.

When United/Wednesday fill our away end, that's about a third of their home support.

For our size/population/economy etc, we're a very well supported club, away from home in particular.

Nowt embarrassing about taking about 3,000.

Just look at the crowds Man utd / Liverpool / Man city / Newcastle / Sunderland get every other Saturday and the police seem to cope , but oh no, not the wonderful south Yorkshire constabulary that cant manage a crowd of over 25,000 without papping their pants and changing the kick off time . Totally friggin useless establishment. What will they do if god forbid Wednesday get promoted? Your gonna have to kick off just after breakfast cos we just cant cope with the hassle. Bobby friggin long coits !
