And I still feel like smashing the **** out of something. I just can't stop thinking about Christensen and Mostto. One of 'em away in Peru and the other sitting on his arse having never started a game for us. Seven Hundred thousand ******* quid pissed up the wall. What a load of old toss.
But you should see how good the others are in training They must look fecking fantastic to kep getting a game ( ( (
I'm with you mate but you're looking to blame the wrong people because apparently its the fans fault that our so called strikers are *****.Oh and despite this being blindingly obvious and the fact that we have had to put up with it for weeks you cant mention it because you arent allowed to mention anything that can be remotely seen as negative because that would mean that you get some kind of perverse pleasure in seeing the team you love struggle.Go figure!!!!
Christenson .. Is a far better player than OJ and Mossto, having seen him play in the reserves, but unfortunately he fell out with Davey, and we know the rest!!
21 years ago The manager (Clarke) had brought in a good striker (MacDonald),but couldn't find a decent partner for him. He tried throughout the season with youngsters (Foreman, Chandler), playing players out of position (Thomas, Gray) and the biggest load of ***** ever to pull on a Barnsley shirt (Ferry). Eventually, he had to select the one striker on the books that he'd never played and couldn't see eye to eye with (Wylde). Not only did Wylde's presence galvanise the side, but he scored some important goals to help us pull away from the relegation zone and he formed an impressive partnership with MacDonald. Is it possible that Christensen could be a modern day version of Wylde, with Macken taking the role of MacDonald? Just a thought.
What a season that was ! If I remember rightly we started the season with something like 7 straight defeats and struggled up to mid season. We finished the season with a flourish. Was that the season we won 4-3 at Hull?
I never used to miss an away match in them days! Great days! I pick my away matches these days. Havent got the stomach for the defeats.
Correct mate, some of us always seem to blame the fans, for not showing undieing support, not singing loud enough, booing the players, and not backing the Board , Manager and staff at these worrying times. We have had a fantastic cup run, and long may it continue. but to blame fans for not turning out in their millions for a local derby, when they have probably spent half their income on purchasing cup tickets a couple of days earlier is ludicrous. The moaners are probably paying £20 per week to their parents and have no financial worries, and have £300 spending money each week. Some of us live in the real world though. When the team are pushing for a play-off spot, the fans will return
Fans are skint but when we're pushing for the playoffs they'll return.
Why? Does everybody get a pay rise when their local club is higher in the league?

RE: Christenson .. well davey is going to have to swallow his pride cos we are in danger of going down.
One of my first memories of watching Barnsley was Wilde - RYHILL TYKE - YOU CAN HELP HERE! Did we used to chant "Roger show us your arse?" or is that just a wild memory of mine that never happened. He scored in a two one loss at home to Blackpool, I think with Bamber scoring both of theirs. Watch the first half in the ponty and walked round and watch the 2nd in the now away end.
Sunderland away that season I went up there for the last game of the season we were 2-0 down, then came back to win 3-2 and sent them down. One of the best end of season meaningless (for us) games I have ever seen.
Sent them into relegation playoff match We got chased for miles after the game. Dobbins screamer just before half time - what a goal!
RE: Christenson .. whats more important A) Your Club staying up consequently saving your job or B)A petty squabble with a striker that will deliver the goods? and i fear Kim will leave in the summer and then we will be stuck up the creek without a paddle!
