The transfer activity in the next 3 weeks is crucial. The 2nd half today was a shambolic embarrassment. The midfield was non-existent, the back four was all over the place and then we have the front two.....well nuff said. We made Norwich look like Real Madrid at times.
The rose tinted specs need well and truly removing cos on that showing the bottom 3 is definitely looming.

We Haven't Won Since He Got The Comfort Of A Four Year Contract.....

and unfortunately it's showing. He's in the comfort zone and some of his team selections and tatics are baffling.

Are you seriously saying that now he has got a new contract he is not bothered and is in a comfort zone?? Davey looked just as frustrated as any fan in Oakwell on the sidelines. Get off his back and talk sense. We have lost the spine of our side basically by losing Nyatanga, De Silva and Macken. He knows that we need players of a better quality. Hence Colgan, Reid and johnson being told they can leave. Lets not press the panic button hey and start saying we have a manger who isnt bothered - total bollax!

I am on about in the league, where it matters the most.

I never said he's not bothered. Agree we have lost the spine of the team. However that is the risk you take as a manager, when you sign loan players and have no obvious plan B for them going back.

    **** me DB

if Davey had the finance to buy Anderson, Macken and Nyatanga do you not think he would have done ? He got some very good players on loan and I'm sure he's looking around now for them again or suitable others</p>

Your plan A can't include people that don't play for you unfortunatly.

If we are using your logic then Barnsley's plan A is rooney and Henry up front.

He did sign some very good players on loan

But he's signed an awful lot of dross on a permanent basis.

If only Macken and De Silva had been permanent and Mossto and Odejayi on loan.

Agree there mate, Davey knows whats wanted and he will go out and bring players in. It was a poor performance in the second half against a poor Norwich side.
The thing that stuck out for me was the ease that Norwich calved us up down the left. Disco apart from his goal was poor , Bobby had a stinker at left back, hucks and Croft ran them ragged in the second half, and were unlucky not to get five.
The centre of mid-field was garbage , Howard tried he really did but didn't have much to play with . McCann was slow and poor as he always is. Kayode did well but lacked support. The only bright spot in the second half, Leon looked really good and will shine. Still we have had a good run at home, get these loanees back and we could hold our own. But the form we are in at the mo is relegation football.

The trouble is that Mr. Davey is as blind or blinkered as some of you lot with regard to Howard's performances. If you or he thinks that Howard's performances this season warrants the captains armband and hence the security of knowing that he will almost certainly be the first name on the team sheet then we are in real trouble. He wasn't the best midfielder in a red shirt today, not by a long way. His attitude stinks. His effort is no more than notional. He thinks he is the star and doesn't even try to make chances for any of his colleagues, only looking for opportunities to get his name up in lights. We don't need better midfielders to play with him, we just need a half decent one to replace him and IMHO Diego Leon might just be the one. I do hope so, for all our sakes. Rant over!!
Having said all of that I know that Mr. Davey wont do anything about it because it would mean that he would have to admit that he made a mistake (or three) and he doesn't do that does he.
