I didn't think about that. Surely the parachute payments are to help cover wages of players on premier league contracts. The players are trying to sue for loss of earnings. So Sheff Utd now have the parachute payments, West Hams money, and havent paid the extra to the players. I think this could run and run. The courts should uphold the players claim, but make Sheffield Utd pay them, so the players have sued their own club.

If that's a cracking question, you're going to the wrong boozers.......

A better one would be "what are you drinking"

    or

From the Russian barmaid who looks a bit like Michelle Pffeiffererer -
"have I got time to suck you off while your Guinness settles, I don't want to rush it"

there was probably a clause in their contracts...........

substantially reducing their wages if relegated-which makes a nonsense of the parachute payments-I'd guess all clubs have similar nowadays

so they are going to sue West Ham for the wages they would/might have got if they stayed up-bonkers

perhaps players can sue managers for loss of earnings for not keeping the team up.

the fans can sue the clubs for injury and hurt to feelings.....

    it's all gone bonkers
